I think that I am going to start having to pick a better time for me to go my spot and observe. I am beginning to get the same stuff and see the same things each week as I go. This week i went from 1030-1135 and there were only 6 people in there to write about. Yes it makes it easier to observe the people more closely but it also makes it had because there isnt much to say. Out of the 6 people that I seen, they all looked like they were involved in school work. They had headphones on , reading a book or on a laptop. Once again to me all the students looked older, as in they could be graduate students or professors.
I decided that i was going to pay closer attention to my surroundings, I looked and there were posters for the play "exonerated" that the school is showing, they were on every wall, they must really need the school support. Three people walked in at the exact same time and ordered the same thing, Coffee. They all ordered coffee and walked out, I thought maybe since it was so cold outside they needed it as they walked to class. Since everyone was so into their work . I tried to set off my phone to see if i would get a reaction..Nope Nobody even bothered to look up. Maybe they knew what i was doing. There was a student so engaged in that book she was reading she wouldn't even put it down to take a drink of water, she read and drank at the same time.
A girl and 3 friends came in loud, disturbing the peace and only one person bothered to look everybody else contiuned to do what they were doing. She seemed to be upset about someone stealing from her, which is understandable. next week i'm going to try to go around 2 or 3 and see how much action I get.
